Spain, Portugal and Morocco Tour

(departure 08:30 a.m.) Passengers attendance at the bus terminal, located in the underground parking of the Plaza de Oriente (Madrid). We start our journey to Avila, an amazing city where you can still find its medieval wall. After a short stop to know the small city of Avila, we continue our drive to Salamanca. Enjoy your free time in this city to discover the University of this World Heritage classified city. The amazing beauty of this university walls are just breathtaking.

We then departure to Porto, Portugal, where our accommodation is waiting at the Hotel.

Breakfast at the Hotel. On this day we will have a panoramic sightseeing tour of Porto, one of the trendiest cities, considered World Heritage city by UNESCO and Best Europe Destination in 2014 and 2017! Trough our tour we will be able to admire the Clérigos Cathedral, the Bolsa Palace and the Santa Clara Church. In the afternoon there is an optional visit to one of the famous Port Wine Cellars, including wine tasting in the end.

Breakfast at the Hotel. We leave the trendy city of Porto and head towards to Coimbra, birthplace of the most traditional songs in Portugal - Fado - and home of one of the oldest universities in Europe. The amazing and intemporal architecture of the university buildings definitely worths a stop by. Enjoy your free time in this place to explore the most traditional places of this ancient city.

We continue our trip to Fatima, an altar of the Christian faith and place of world pilgrimage. Here is where you will find "Cova da Iria", home of the Three Shepard children and site of the apparitions of the Virgin Mary. In this emblematic and mysterious town, you can find the Apparitions Chapel, the Church of the Holy Trinity and the famous Basilica.

If you travel in May there is possibility to attend the "Procissão das Velas", a traditional procession to honor the Virgin Mary where thousands of people hold candles and give life to the streets - this procession takes place by night and it's magical.

Breakfast at the hotel.Our Tour proceeds to Batalha, famous the Batalha Monastery, a gothic masterpiece of the XIV century, classified as World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

Then, we will go to the colorful and fishing town of Nazare. Here the Tradition is alive, as well as the big waves of its beaches, respected and loved by renowned surfers. And we will have some free time to enjoy the superb view over the Atlantic Ocean.

Following our journey we arrive at Alcobaça . This city holds the most romantical history and you can discover it by the tombs of Pedro and Inés de Castro.

Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning we will have sightseeing tour of the ancient Olissipo (previous roman name of Lisbon). With a drive through its main squares and avenues we discover the majestic Belem Tower and the beautiful Comercio and Rossio Squares, Liberty Avenue and Marquês de Pombal, everything makes this trip an unforgettable journey. This Tour also includes a pass by the National Coach Museum, which hosts one of the richest collection of carriages in the word as well as a sightseeing of the Jeronimos Monastery, a true jewel of Manueline art, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO and the Monument to the Discoveries.

We leave our Hotel and departure to Caceres - classified as World Heritage by UNESCO because of its perfect harmony between the Roman, Islamic, Northern Gothic and Italian Renaissance architecture. With a walk through its Plaza Mayor and the Old Town, with its famous Medieval Quarter, our time at this city will be surely worth it.

We continue our Tour towards Cordoba, once the capital of the Caliphate.

Our morning will be spend with an impressive tour by the Mosque-Cathedral of Cordoba, also known as the Great Mosque of Cordoba, considered one of the best monuments of the Moorish Architecture. This city amazing sites will ease our mind and spirit as we stroll through its narrow winding streets of the Jewish Quarter.

In the afternoon a two hours ride awaits us until we reach Seville.

This day's morning will be spent with a panoramic city tour, visiting the exterior of the the second largest Cathedral in the Catholic world, after St. Peters (Rome), the Santa Cruz Quarter, a natural scenario of “Carmen” (where the myth of “Don Juan” has developed), the Maria Luisa Park and the amazing Plaza de España.

Enjoy your free time in the afternoon to discover exclusive scenarios and the amazing flavours of this city full of light.

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we drive south, passing by all the beautiful typical villages.

Once we arrive at Ronda, there will be some free time to admire this town of Celtic origin and the marvelous view of the valley and mountain range.

In the afternoon, we continue our tour to Costa del Sol, one of the most modern and important international tourist areas.

This will be a free day for you to enjoy the wonderful beaches of the Costa del Sol and surrounding areas.

Breakfast at the hotel. We head towards the picturesque tourist route of Costa del Sol until we arrive to Tarifa, where a ferry boat will be waiting for an amazing crossing of the strait of Gibraltar - destination: Africa.

We arrive at Tangier where our escort will help us with the disembark and customs. We continue our trip to Rabat, via Larache. Rabat, diplomatic administrative capital and the official residence of the King Mohamed VI.

Waiting for us there's a city tour, visiting the important sights as the Royal Palace (outside visit), the Mohamed V Mausoleum and the unfinished Hassan Tower, which are important examples of the Almohade architecture. Afterwards, departure to Casablanca, current industrial and economic capital and the most populated city housing a 10% of the country population.

On this day we are having a panoramic city tour through the most interesting sections of the city: Anfa Boulevard, Nations Square, residential areas and the Hassan II Grand Mosque (outside visit). At the end of our visit we departure to Marrakech, capital of the South, located within an extensive oasis between the Atlas Mountains and the pre-desertic area.

City sightseeing, including the Koutoubia Tower, twin tower of the Giralda in Seville, Saadines and the Tombs and Bay Palace. With a walk around the medina we discover the souks and the magic Jma El Fna Square, packed with fortune tellers, snake tamers, acrobats, dancers... This city center is a truly open air theatre, inviting you to join in - don’t forget your camera!

After a delicious breakfast we continue our Tour to Meknes. An old walled imperial city, located in the heart of the Mid Atlas. A panoramic tour will lead us through the great Bab Al Mansour Gate, Morocco’s most beautiful Gate and the most well known monument in town.

We keep heading towards Fez, the most monumental town of all the Imperial Cities. Its University of “Karaouyne” is the largest Islamic sanctuary in Morocco, full of ancient theological schools.

Enjoy a morning city tour of the most ancient and monumental of the Imperial Cities, visiting the most interesting points: the 7 gates of the Royal Palace, the Jewish Quarters (known as Mellah), the gate of Bab Bou Jelous. Get lost while discovering the streets of the “Medina” (Old City), declared World Heritage Site, with a walking tour through its walls.

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel we departure towards the city of Granada. Its incredible and amazing monumental environment is the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492.

With a visit the world famous Alhambra complex and the Generalife Gardens we will be able to be inspired as several authors once were by its sound and sights. Examples of it are the “Tales of the Alhambra” by W. Irving.

Free time in the afternoon to discover this amazing city and its surroundings.

Breakfast at the Hotel. On our last day we drive northward, towards the sky of Castilla. Surrounded by the Tagus River, the impressive Imperial City of Toledo emerges from all its oponency - World Heritage City - where the three cultures, Christians, Moorish and Jewish, have lived together. Home of the Spanish Art, History and Spirituality, the whole town is a National Monument.

With a short guided tour of this historical old town throught its narrow streets we will discover all its secrets. A visit to a famous “Damasquinado” (gold and silver inlaying in iron) factory is also part of our stop by this amazing town.
